Tara Direct to Patient recognize the need to support the Pharmaceutical Sector in the delivery of their therapies to patients outside of the Hospital environment. It is well known that within the healthcare system bed capacity has become a central issue in relation to patients receiving their IV drug therapies.
Tara Direct to Patient has been providing a safe alternative treatment avenue to consultants, pharmaceutical companies, patients and their families for several years. Our mobile infusion centers can be dispatched to locations throughout the country to offer hospital level clinical care in the most remote locations.
Our innovation in providing mobile infusion centres allows patients avoid long journeys to hospitals for their treatments negating the need for an inpatient stay or admission to access treatment. Treating patients outside the hospital environment has been proven to have many benefits both holistic and clinical, these include:
- Reduced risk of nosocomial infection (MRSA, C difficule, Winter vomiting bug).
- No requirement to travel long distances to receive infusion.
- Consultant led clinical oversight, doctor on site.
- High levels of Nurse / Physician interaction with patient.
- Continuity of care (specialist nursing staff assigned to each area).
